This was the very first pump that was constructed. It is still working and only faced a couple of technical problems that were repaired by Bertin. The committee consists of three members (two women and one man). They collect 200 ariary per household per month to maintain the pump. It has broken down three times since 2008. Everybody has access to the pump and everybody contributes to the adidy. They see the adidy as a very positive thing, not an economic obligation but a moral responsibility to upkeep the pump because the pumps is a place for fihavanana.
